A marketing site for a Mumbai real-estate developer's luxury residential project. We built it first as a React application. Then we rebuilt it as a WordPress theme and plugin, so the developer's content and SEO teams can edit every word, image and list in Elementor without breaking the approved design.
The Brief
A luxury launch site has two jobs. It has to sell a way of living in the first screen, and it has to turn that interest into an enquiry the sales desk can act on. This one also had to carry the brochure's content (residences, amenities, specifications, floor plans and location) and read like an editorial piece, not a property-portal listing. Dated client review rounds settled the typography, the palette and the shape of the hero.
Partway through, a second requirement arrived. The client's team needed to own the content and the SEO themselves, in WordPress, the platform their marketing people already knew. The WordPress build had to look exactly like the approved React site.
What We Built
-
✦
A cinematic first screen A cross-fading slideshow sits behind a headline that appears one letter at a time. Each letter is already in its final position from the first frame, so the centred line never shifts. The timer pauses when the hero is off-screen or the tab is hidden, and later frames load only after the first image has finished. Visitors who prefer reduced motion get a still frame.
-
✦
Ten editorial sections Story, residences by configuration, amenities (hover preview and full lightbox), location (a route film and an interactive map pop-up), specifications, floor plans, a filterable gallery, the developer partnership, and a site-visit form. Every heading uses one shared component, so the whole site can be restyled in one place.
-
✦
Lead capture throughout the page An enquiry modal, a timed pop-up, a sticky action bar, a site-visit form and a mobile OTP step. Tower floor plans stay blurred until the visitor enquires. The e-brochure works the same way, so every first download is a lead.
-
✦
An asset pipeline that starts from print Python scripts turn the print brochure and the architect's floor-plan PDFs into responsive WebP image sets, with a manifest that supplies the image sizes the browser needs. Plans are straightened and their title blocks cropped. Every project render carries an "artist's impression" credit, and every stock photo a "representative image" credit.
-
✦
A WordPress twin of the React site A thin theme plus a core plugin with fifteen custom Elementor widgets. Each widget outputs the same HTML and styles as the React component it replaces. The WordPress styles are compiled from the React stylesheet itself, the widgets' default content is generated from the React data files, the icons are copied over from the same icon set, and every interaction is rebuilt in Alpine.js. A change on one side reaches the other on the next build.
-
✦
Checked pixel for pixel Every section was screenshotted on both builds at four screen sizes with Playwright and compared pixel by pixel. A scripted run then tested every interaction, from the hero timer to the full enquiry flow.
-
✦
Enquiries that are never lost On WordPress, every enquiry is saved with a reference number, the page, the referrer and the campaign (UTM) tags. Enquiries can be exported as CSV, emailed to sales and sent to a CRM webhook. A hidden spam-trap field and per-IP limits keep out spam.
The Stack
The approved site is React 19 with TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS v4 and Framer Motion, deployed on Vercel. The WordPress build targets WordPress 6.5+ and free Elementor, with Alpine.js for behaviour and Node build scripts that generate the CSS, icons, media manifest and widget defaults from the React source. A one-click installer imports the media pack, builds the home page, header, footer and legal pages, and registers the brand colours and font in Elementor. It also versions every media URL so the host's CDN fetches fresh copies after a reinstall. ApartmentComplex structured data and pre-filled Rank Math or Yoast fields cover SEO. The asset pipeline uses PyMuPDF and Pillow.
The Outcome
Delivered through our partner agency as two builds: the React site, and the WordPress theme, plugin and media pack. Both came with a handbook written for three readers (the developer who installs it, the content team who edits it, and the SEO team who tunes it) and a CRM integration guide for the client's CRM team. The mobile OTP step runs in demo mode until a live SMS gateway is connected, which is a settings change, not a code change.
